“I’m really, really happy to be here. It feels like home to me. I give everything I have on the pitch for these fans, and I love that,” he said with a big grin.

This is actually Antony’s second stint with Betis, but this time it’s permanent he signed a five-year deal back in the summer of 2025. He’s been with them ever since, and it’s given him a fresh start, if you know what I mean.

“I’m practicing my finishing all the time, every single day. It’s not just luck, it’s about doing the work and putting in the hours,” he said with conviction.

• 1 goal and 1 assist in the Europa League this season

Betis Keeping in Touch with the Top 4

Needless to say, this win was a big one for Real Betis. They’re now in 5th place with 19 points from 11 games, which puts them:

• 4 points off the pace of Villarreal (3rd)

You could tell they were hurting from that loss to Atlético last week, but this win shows they’re not giving up the ghost just yet.

“We’ll just keep going, one match at a time,” Antony said with a shrug.
